ALBERT SMITH born 1885, dont know where he was born,but finished up in Sheffield. ALBERT married MARY ELIZABETH HARTLEY on 26 dec 1908, in Sheffield. The marrage cert says- WILLIAM as father - deceased -occupation - GRINDER.

It is at this point I am stuck, because not knowing where ALBERT was born l dont know how to track the father- WILLIAM. I dont know where he was born or died, toooo many SMITHS

I think I can help you. I searched on 1891 census using the information you provided and found one connection between Albert 1885 and William 1854 in Ashton Warwichshire.
