his mother, her name ,birth ,death, occupation ,etc....and where she died...U.K. Or France....The family originally came from Northern Italy...The fact that her son was born in France would preclude her from dying in Italy. Their was only one son, so may suggest she may have died in France...Her husband definitely remarried in the U.K.....worked there for a while...then immigrated to N.Z. In the NZ BDM I have found the following:
Robert Gilbert Bresano Died Auckland, NZ 1928/6983 aged 67
Married: Margaret Henebery 1893/3128. She died 1938/17184 aged 72
They had one child: Henry Dan Gilbert 1896/3571
His military record lists his name as Henry Harry Bresano with his father Robert listed as next of kin. He died 1936/19559.
There are only 7 Bresano's coming up on the NZ BDM so one could assume this is the family you are looking for.
He married: Millicent Ellenor Over 1925/3394. She died 1969/46339
If this is the right family then please contact me and I can point you into the direction of more information.

Have just found a naturalisation record for Robert Gilbert Bresano which states he was born in Marseilles, dob 21 October 1850, date of naturalisation 21 December 1925.
This is wonderful, yes you are correct, although I did'nt know that that Henrys name was Henry Dan Gilbert, maybe a depol change, as the family during the war years changed their name to Bresand, because of the Italian factor.
