An Edmonds Fish Story

edmondsallan - Hello - I thought as the next few journals might take a while to tell their Family ancestral lives . We may need to drop down a cog .< make a cuppa , tell a short story ( to clean the mind ) then you may not mind where I am leading you to . Ok --- Cuppa !! I'm back lets get rolling . ( from my early research ) The people down here in the Waikato have been such great hosts , they have asked me to stay a while longer . Many of them just love to tell their ancestry to somebody . To note or record / research / find much of it took a while . When I asked " old faithful " to give me more on the maori ancestry in the Waikato .from past notes , I am sure she grinned ! Their is quite a bit on this family ancestry . I hope we are all learning more about our wonderful country and its early occupants . I know many cobwebs are being cleaned out of my grey matter . This is a pretty big family & we will have a huge amount of work to do . " Old faithful " is telling me-- " cut it short bro !! and lets get on with the Historical Ancestry !! " She is just so down to earth at times , I threaten to drop her off the AK Harbour bridge into the sea a couple of times . What stops me is , I don't want every fish in the whole world knowing everything from top to bottom & especially about a lot of people / countries world wide. You know it is just - I mean just !!!! possible that " Maui " did hook " Aotearoa " out of the sea . Just for a laugh - imagine some fella in Great Briiian - Scotland fishing for a trout that has come in from the sea , up the river to hatch eggs . " He flails his rod & wham ! He has hooked a beauty big Brown . As he is about to unhook it after a tremendous fight , the fish says to him " Better put me back Laddie - I know your ancestry comes from a den of thieves " what a shock to the human race . Head lines in the news " Fish speaks to Scotchman !! and tells him to let it go or else !! " I can sense you don't believe me do you ? Yes ! - No !!- What then - " did he let the fish go ???
