Ancestors of Mingo County WV Duty S
My grandfather was Cleveland Monroe Duty, born in Mingo County West Virginia in 1926. His father was Howard Duty who married Amy Ferrel and I believe his father was George, but thats as much as I've gotten so far. Of all my family research so far my Duty line is the hardest to track down.

I believe we have the same ancestors, but different lines. A couple of sites I have been luckier with are http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/ which allows you to look at and print marriage, death and some birth certificates and has a lot of Duty's. Another is Rootsweb.com. Both sites are free. One of the Duty researchers with the last name of Russell has the most accurate information on our Duty line. My Duty's are from Mingo and Logan County.
