- a son of William Radcliffe & Martha Fowler
He married Amelia "Minnie"Bray 11 January 1892 in Masterton
- he was 35 and she was 21
They had 11 (known) children from 1891 to 1913, by which time he was 56 and Amelia was 42.
He died 29 years before her, on 13 February 1935 in Petone, Wellington and buried at Karori, Wellington PLOT 64 M - SECTION: CH ENG 2 with Minnie
Amelia "Minnie" Bray
- was born 24 March 1871 in Cheltenham, Gloucester
- a daughter of James Bray & Louisa Bailey
NOTE Amelia's name of "MILLIE" (which was originally thought to be her name), was actually "MINNIE". Because of an intensive search and research by Paul Davis at the overseas Commonwealth War Graves Commission and also of those at the New Zealand agency it was found, through the Birth Death and Marriages records, that her name was recorded as "Minnie". This was also the case in the Will of her son Rifleman William Holditch Radcliffe
2 years after the death of William Radcliffe, in 1937, Minnie married Henry Eagle (1868-1949)
Minnie died 12 August 1964 in Silverstream Hospital aged 93
