Ancestral Research Computers

edmondsallan - Good Morning .I am going to talk about computer's you may not believe . It doesn't matter . I see people talking to their pets / to their flowers / to themselves and still as sane as you or I . In my earlier years of business I worked the East coast from Ruatoria To Hastings in the south and in land to Lake Waikaremoana.I was based in Gisborne . I had started my researching by then but had not perfected ( That's a joke ) my filing / hold and research systems . After having a couple of cheap computers ( Powerful ) but factory made . A history of viruses , low computer power & memory , I hunted around for a better factory made -/ foreign made / Nz made. At that stage NZ was just starting to develope as the world wiz kids in electronics . The first computer I had made did not turnout to be much good, because I was stupid enough to try and sort out the specifications myself . By sheer accident I happened to rub noses with a " CEO " of a company , exporting computers , who said , He was paying to high salaries to two ( 2 ) computer electronic professional experts he had imported . He also had A couple of Kiwis right along side them He reckoned once they learned the ropes they would out gun the imports . One of those eventually started out on his own , and after a real struggle is today still one of the best small computer builders/electronic experts exporting world wide . I know I appear to be wasting time. I was just so pleased with the work
" old faithful " ( The best computer I have ever had, specially built came from their ) - did for me late yesterday I just wanted to praise her . Here is that story . I made an appointment to see , this " kiwi wiz " on building computers way back then . When he finished with me I felt like a wet rag - and the price was nearly double an ordinary factory built computer. The beauty of their build is it include a up grade with later electronics of their design ,on 5 years at their cost and one more on the same basis at 10 years . Since sealing that legal contract on the building of " old faithful " They have built me another. They would not agree to up grades at their cost in the new contract . It is not as powerful as
" old Faithful " and is far smaller . I asked " old faithful " what should I call the new computer & we agreed to call it
" the Young one " Still, she appears to be handling a lot of work very very satisfactorily and I think my other " partner " is talking to her ( when I am not around ) guiding her , pushing her , saying I'm a good boss and all that other hogwash , and don't ever let the team down . I can sense by now you think I have burst a cell up top. NO -- I haven't !! just doing some mind exercises,to start the day as I woke up , the phone went , and my day stared with solving a family problem . now I am trying to switch back . a-a-ha- !! At last my first cuppa ," thee cat " is in her favourite position , " old faithful " heard me praising her and she is grinning all over -
