Any Information About OR Relating to My Grand Father Mervyn Winslow

I am looking for any information on my grand-father Mervyn Winslow born in 1912, Devonport Tasmania Australia.
Don't know anything about his parents as he lost them in traumatic events when he was a very young boy, that's why he didn't speak of them at all. He did say his mother was a princess and his father was an African American slave, and that after his parent die his uncle raised him for a bit then he made is way over to the mainland as an a mature boxer with the Aboriginal boxing circuit.. Any information you can assist me with will be greatly appreciated.
