Asian Ancestry

It has been a wonderful experience to have our son marry A Fiipino girl in nz , who had been living in nz over 19 years , secured nz citizen ship + become a nz charted accountant . During their long engagement period , I decided I would put together 2 family ancestry books of some 400 page each, on both their ancestries . then into a beautiful leather bonded ( each book as optimised with gold coloured letters + headings ) a a wedding present . It extra pages etc for expansion + could be expanded should they wish to for many years to come in the future . they took over 3 years to complete . Very valuable in the future , Being the only ones of their kind It was worth it. I had to Learn many ways to find + follow my daughter inlaws ancestry . I already had my sons . Her ancestry was from originally a spanish / chinese relationship - i had to trace right back to a village in spain to the very early roman days . the records found were amazing. Her chinese side went back 3,000 years to a small village on the silk trade route and their sur name was taken from the river in that village .The assitance I got from other professional genealogy colleauges was outstanding . I was shown ( especially on the chinese research how important that chinese surname + writing of it were. )
