Atlantic Convoys 1939 45 Does Anyone Know Where to Access Information

My Father Andrew Reeder (1913-1991)was a merchant seaman on the Atlantic Convoys, does anyone have any knowledge of where & what he did? All i know is he was paid extra as he was the ships gunner.
