I have been unable to find a birth record for Lucy Rosia Jane Pedler. According to her marriage certificate she was born in South Australia in 1857, parents were Joseph Pedler and Elizabeth Halls.
I searched the South Australian Birth Records today but could not find the birth of your lucy PEDLER. This is nothing new as there were many births never recorded in South Australia.
I expect the Lucy PEDLER married to John DAVIS in Victoria in 1871 will be the same Lucy. The marriage records tell me Lucy was born in Adelaide. She was 44 years old when she died in 1901 so her year of birth seems to be correct. Lucy must have been about 15 years old when she married in 1871.
Thank you for your reply, Lucy was my 2great grandmother. She put her age as 21 on her marriage register to John Davis but this was not correct. I have found records for her siblings but as you say lots were not registered.
