After staring at all these photos for some time, I think that there are photos of this fellow as a little boy and then later on aged around 10yrs.

Any ideas anyone? Photo possibly taken around Inverell area of New South Wales, Australia. Source: MERRY/ROADS family reunion 2006 at Bribie Island QLD.
