( LDS )mistakes , I feel I would like a change -I am never going to throw " old faithful " away . never lets me down . give her a feed
( power ) press a button or two, ask how her day is going , and she justs perks up & yells !! " Let me help ! Let me Help ! " I think she just loves to show off to the " Other " ( I am whispering this , cause she listens to my every word & she is still waiting for another job to do )- sss-hh- To Her " You were very powerful in your youth and you are still the Best !! " I must be going crackers - I'll swear she smiled at me . Get out of there you old goat & calm down -
Bay of Islands - Northland - one of the most beautiful places in the world and her history also makes great reading . You already Know it all ? ? ? I wonder . Lets see .
" Okiato " just across from Paihia was NZ first capital only for a short time . The main trading village was " KORORAREKA ' now known as Russell - Bay of Islands .NZ
In 1840 - Felton Mathews , acting Surveyor for the area , Surveyed and planned a town at " Akiato "as a prospective Colonial Capital.
It was close to a property owned by " James Reddy Clendon " since 1832 . Official history records show that " Akiato " Held this title ( Capital Of NZ ) from Febuary 1841 to January 1844 when the Capitol was officially moved to Russell . Today their is a plaque at Russell , commemorating the site & the Capitol . This was unveiled on the 15th November 1961. Did you know all that ? I didn't .
One day I must tell you of my brother & myself's past in the Northland , Probably fill a book . Have to have a think on that one . Till we meet again - Regards - edmondsallan
