Beaumont of Haddington
I've been researching my Beaumont line for quite a few years, and it is my brick wall.
The furthest I have come is to John Beaumont B:1774 in England D:1843 in Haddington, Scotland. A pauper.
He was a gardener in Haddington. The only child I have been able to find is George Beaumont B:1818 in Haddington.
George married Elizabeth Marr in 1837 and in 1855 they moved to Glasgow, after his wife was released from prison for culpable homicide.
George is my 2x GGrandfather, and I have plenty of info about him and his family.
John Beaumont is the one I am interested in. Where did he come from , who was his wife, did he have more children?
I ´d be grateful for any help here.
