I had a look at the posts and while there could be some relationship with Kenneth - as he did not return to NZ and there was no mention of his supposed wife of six weeks I cannot discount this - I have a James Edward Beehag in my sights - his war records suggest his wife as next of kin was a Mrs D.E.Beehag and.. the story goes that his wife of six weeks was Doris Eunice Wilson - I am unable to find any Mrs D.E.Beehags anywhere else in my research to suggest she /he is not the one unless someone else can assist. James Edward's mother's name could be Joan

Also Mr Beehag's nick name could have been 'happy hawkins' or 'happy hawker'
