Any information on William Belton please.He married Mary Ace who was born in Oxwich Glamorgan Wales 22/10/1848.They came to N.Z and had nine children.Mary Jane,Edith, sophie,Bessie, Rose,Charles,Emily,Violet, Ruth and ann.I think all the children were born in N.Z I think William died 1907 and Mary 1937.They are buried at Kamo cemetery in Whangarei N.Z

SilverVixen on 2012-04-03 08:18:30In their marriage records he is shown as William BETTON. They married 1872 in Gower, Glamorgan. Quarter 2, volume 11a, page 968a if you want to order the certificate, which would give you their ages and names and occupation of respective fathers.

It is a UK government site and you will need the information I have given above ie Year, quarter, volume and page. The last time I ordered they were about 9.75 pounds sterling including postage. shihazel on 2015-09-03 01:13:12yes how interesting.Bertha's father william & Mary Jane were brother & sister.My mother Mabel Evelyn 1st born of Mary Jane & clement Norman Flyger a 1st cousin to Bertha.I have childhood memory of travelling from hometown Hamilton to Hikurangi to visit who we called "auntie Dolly "& her sister Phyllis!I am happy to share any records of the family
