While I'm struggling with the BERESFORD origins, I have recently discovered that Thomas David ALLEN comes from Darley Abbey in Derbyshire. I've been able to locate family from census records in the Derby area. I wouldn't be surprised if the families were acquainted somehow back in Derbyshire. Where are your BERESFORDS located?
