Beyond Thomas Ekines C 1740 Beds

Looking for info on the 'Ekins/Ekines' family, possibly from the Blunham area of Beds. Have got back to Thomas Ekines c 1740. Cannot find any definite info for the birth of Thomas or his parents. They may have come from a nearby area.
