Birchfield

My mother was a Birchfield. I am looking for information on Monroe or James Monroe Birchfield. I was told that he died or divorced his wife around 1898. His wife married H Vines about that time. Some think that J>M> Burchfield died around 1963 and is buried in Dallas TX. That is a James Marion Burchfield and I do not think that is my great grandfather. Any help.
