When it comes to the Bishops, it is so hard to trace due to so many with same names.....
Joseph D. Bishop with daughter's name Goldie is the right Joseph for sure.
Goldie, my dad and Doris Day were childhood friends. Goldie and Doris left together for acting jobs, while my dad at 17 went into the Navy and was on the USS Enterprise when Pearl Harbor was hit, Doris found the big lights and Goldie returned to Cincinnati a few years later.
Thank you for Magdalen information. I was sent there names as a lead within the family but I don't know where it fits in yet.
The parents of Joseph D. Bishop is James H. and Jane Bishop with birth's 1857'ish Kentucky and Virginia. I could not locate any information on them and the only James and Jane I found was one of Jane Adams from Virginia but could not get complete information to validate relationship, or find their parents names.
The 1900 census for James H. and Jane Bishop with Joseph D. listed might be the right parents but it states their parents are from Ireland while all Joseph D. sensus states Germany. The census for James H. and Jane Bishop does not give a clue about who their parents are, just Irish. So again, so many same names different places and inexperience on my part. Any Ideas?
