I seem to be having a difficult time trying to find birth, marriages and deaths in the USA. In the UK we have a BMD index.
Does anyone know if there is a similar index in the USA and if so where do i find it ?

If you know what county the person/people you are searching for lived in, you can see if there is a county seat website that should have the information. Also try the County Clerk's office for that county and sometimes there is a county Historical society you can research.
