John Buchanan was born abt 1808 to Donald Buchanan and Mary Campbell. He married Catherine McDonald abt 1825, she was the daughter of Patrick McDonald and Catherine McLean born abt 1807.
They emigrated to Australia on the Georgiana in 1852 with their James, John, John (yes, there was 2, and neither died young)Mary, Roderick (Rory), Catherine and Jessie Priscilla. Jessie was my ancestor, she married William Thomas Harvey Trice, who was born in Portsea, Hampshire abt 1832.

My Grandfather Cuthbert Henry Trice was the son of John Trice (b.1877 Buninyong Vic, AU) & Annie Houghto-Davidson (b.1875). John Trice is the son of William Thomas Harvey Trice & Jessie Priscilla Buchanan.
