Burgoyne Burgoin of Blackwaton Devon UK
I have my family tree, (not totally complete) from 1720 until today.
It all began some 20 years ago when I asked an old aunt if she knew where my great grandad Charles Alfred Burgoyne was buried, and anyone who is doing family research will know this idle curiosity can soon become all consuming, very expensive and take up a lot of our recreational time, I am also the proud owner of an annual maintenance contract for my great grandparents grave in Ford Park Cemetery in Plymouth
Im very interested to know how the name arrived in America and when.

Louis Burgoyne came from France in the early 1800s. He married Sarah Holyfield from North Carolina. He was last heard of in Clark, MS. .
By 1852 Sarah was in Arkansas.
Hi, I am also researching BURGOIN/ BURGOYNE/ BURGOINE family of blackawton from 1730 onwards. I also have other ancestors in Ford Park Cemetary Plymouth too, so I wonder if we have some common ancestors and could share some info? I am researching Robert BURGOINE who married Grace Langworthy, both of the parish of Blackawton married there in 1755. Does this connect to you ?
