Can Anyone Find Matthew Francis Conolly IN the 1841 England Census Please I Have Found Him on Ancestry Com Au on the 1851 with Wife Ann and Children...
I don't have a subscription to any other than Ancestry.com because I am a Pensioner. I hae tried every Variant in surname I can think of.
In 1835 when his last child was born he lived in Broad St, Camden.
His children to Ann are: Thomas born 1828 in Middx. Ann Amelia born 1827 Middx, Keturah Jane b 1831 Middx.
I am a volunteer myself at our local library teaching people how to research and build family trees. So I would love someone to find my Matthew Francis Conolly please. Thanks to you all in advance.
Ann Johnson.
I have him and his family also in 1851 living 1 Poland street he was born in Dublin Ireland. I am confused as he died here in 1860 as did Thomas Edward Charles 1828-1881 Ann Amelia 1826-1855 and keturah Jane 1831-1860 John William 1830-1835 also two other children that died under a year old. Ann Grant his wife who he married 24 june 1821 i have so far been unable to find her death.
Thomas married twice and was a book seller's manager.
could this be a different family?
Thank you Mark yes this is the correct family. Matthew must have moved over to England when he was single. He had been married twice and his first wife Jane who he married in London died after giving birth to twin boys Henry and Matthew Joseph. Then he married Ann Grant as on this 1851 Census, he married her in London too. When his children to Ann were born he was a Coach maker by occupation and lived in Broad St, Camden, according to the children's baptism records. I have tried tirelessly to find him on the 1841 England Census but have not been able to find him. Even tried all the children that were living then too including Keturah Jane I was sure I would find her because it is an unusual name but I couldn't. I also tried spelling the name Conolly differently too. I hope someone can find then on the 1841 Census for me, maybe someone who has find my past or some other subscription to other research companies. I will keep my fingers crossed.
Thank you for your kind help it is greatly appreciated, especially living so far away in Oz. Ann
