Am looking for family information in VIrginia. Can census information for the town of Pittsylvania, Virginia be gotten for free and if so where do I go?

Hi,
You could try the website familysearch.org
Type in the name, place and year information, but scroll down to the bottom for United States to be more specific. Best of luck.
