Capt Quincy W Quinlan

Journal by Quinlan

Have been searching for my 4g grandfather for over 30 years. He was a sea Captain, died at sea, probably circa 1862. Could have been aboard the brig Livingstone, lost at sea, 1862, but no verification. Family story says it was a "rum run", again no proof. I have photos of him and his wife. He was Irish, born 1813 but don't know where, Ireland, US, England?

He married an Iriqois/Delaware woman (we think her name was Luctia Straw).
definitly looks Indian. Lived in Kentucky and Pennsilvania, had 7 children. Oldest Harry Barnhart Quinlan, b 1833 or 1835, was my direct line. I have the names of the others. Harry B married Lucinda Ellen Flinchum in Indian Territory, 1852.

Any help appreciated.
