John Morgan was a police constable then inspector in the Liverpool area...he was my G-grandfather. John was born June 7, 1849 Kildrummy, Aberdeen, Scotland and died July 25, 1916 in Spinney Hill, Saskatchewan.

In 1874 he married Ann Morrow, (her father was Richard, a tollgate keeper) & they had a son Charles James. Ann died (before 1878) and Charles went to live with John's parents in Scotland, William & Jane Morgan (William was a carpenter & married to Jane Leslie). I have found them in census records in Old Machar, Aberdeenshire, 1891. Charles was listed as "17 and a grocers assistant".
Later, Charles may have been a stoker on a steamship but I am not sure & would like to know if he married or had children.

John then married Clara Emily Armina Budd (her father Robert was a miller) in 1878, I don't know if they had children. Clara died (before 1890).

John then married Angelica Thomas, daughter of William Thomas (clergyman), Aug. 27,1890. This marriage produced 4 children John, Walter, Daisy & Gwen (Walter being my grandfather). This family immigrated to Canada in 1904.
