MoLEAN - SHEEHAN
The marriage of Norman Christopher
McLean, youngest son of Mr
and Mrs J. H. McLean, of Port Pirie,
to Esther May Sheehan, youngest
daughter of Mr and Mrs H. A.
Sheehan, of Quorn, was celebrated
at the Salvation Army Hall on
-Tuesday evening, April 3. The hall
was beautifully decorated by member
of the Home League. Adjutant
Bloor officiated, and Mr. S. G.
McGilchrist presided at the organ.
The bride, who entered the hall on
the arm of Mr M. Martin, wore a
gown of white silk morocain, with
tight-fitting sleeves and bodice
moulded to the figure. Her veil
was loaned by a friend of the bride,
worn cap fashion, and held in place
by a circlet of orange blossom. She
carried a sheaf of pink and white
asters with tulle streamers. Miss E.
Hobbs was bridesmaid. Her frock
of cornflower blue georgette and
silver lace was cut on the new line,
fitting to the figure and flared below
the knees ankle length. A bandeau
of silver and blue tulle was worn
on the head and she carried a shower
bouquet of pink and blue asters and
streamers. The bride's brother, Mr
R. Sheehan, was best man. Mrs.
Sheehan wore black morocain, and
black hat. Little Thelma Bettens,
a friend of the bride, was flower girl,
and was dressed in pink satin, ankle |
length, with frills, and looked very
sweet, carrying a basket of pink and
white bell flowers and streamers.
As the bride was leaving the Hall a
lucky horseshoe was bung on her
arm by little Myra Bettens. While .
signing the register, Mrs. A. McLean,
sister in-law of the bridegroom,
sang sweetly "The Voice that
breathed o'er Eden." After the
ceremony friends and relatives of
the bride assembled at the home of
her parents, where a sumptuous
breakfast was partaken of.
