Christiansen
my husband is Lindsay Christiansen 42 years old and he is from a little town called Kakahi near Taumarunui. We do know Nells Christiansen, Arthur Christiansen. Lindsays grandmother is Audrey Christiansen, whom is buried along with other Christiansen family members in Manunui which is near Taumarunui. His father an only child Evan is still living in Taumarunui he is in his late 60s. I remember Nanny Audrey was a nurse at some time or midwife and I think she may have lived in Hamilton.
Morrinsville also had been mentioned, I wish I had learned more when I had the chance.
Nanny Audrey passed a few years back but Lindsay and our middle son Kain were able to see her when they visited in 2007, by then though she was loosing her sight.
Question is where do they originate from????
We have three sons whom all live at our home in Perth, Australia and have been here since 1998.
We would love to hear from other family members or people who can help us help our boys to know exactly their heritage.
Hi my name is Matt & I am a relative of yours. Through my Mum Valerie (Joy) Dyer nee Christiansen.
We were actually in Taumarunui yesterday 17 Jan 2015 visiting the graves of my Nana(Anne) & Poppa(Herbert). They lived in the Raetihi/Kakahi before settling in Taumarunui....my Poppa is Aunty Audrey's Brother. My Mum had a Brother Uncle Edward who passed away when he was 4 & her Sister Aunty Beverly passed away at 5mths old.
