I am searching for any information regarding the above. Joseph apparently jumped ship (unknown) in Auckland 1952. married in 1953 to a NZ girl (marriage cert held). Divorced in 1965 (cert found)((So must have been still in NZ)) Was arrested and put on ship "Captain Cook" from Wellington in 1953/1954. Jumped ship again. Was known by other names including Harold CLEAVELY and Joseph CLARKE. He is believed to be born in England in 1914 or 1917, was a seaman and male nurse.
Not found in Ancestry, UK Census, Find My Past, Papers Past NZ, free BMD UK, NZBDM. Posible In UK National Archives in Registry of Shipping & Seamen. (waiting on confirmation)
I'm open to any suggestions.
