Coffey of Scotland

I've started looking at my family tree. I thought we were 100% Irish, but there is a branch that is all Scottish. I'd like to back past what I can find in FamilySearch and be able to research/verify information.
There is a Cleveland Coffee that seems to be the beginning of it.
Any guidance would be appreciated!
