Connection to the Scottish Hotson S

My name is Robert Brian HOTSON, I grew up in Australia and my ancestors are mostly from the HAVANT region of Hampshire in England, I traced my forefathers back to a Henry Hotson born in the early 1800's (place unknown. The stories say that Henry came to England from Scotland but we have never been able to make a connection to the Hotson Families around Scotland. Can anyone help.
