I believe we have the same family tree Matthew Joseph Connell born in 1843 in Richmond, NSW, AUSTRALIA died 1940 in Penrith NSW .age 97
He's Parents were Christopher Connell and Mary Nester or Nestor
they came from Ireland around 1837 or 1839. Matthew Joseph Connell married Anne Potts in 1864 in Windsor NSW. He married again in 1874 in Windsor, NSW to a Charlotte Mortimer.
They Had the following children Albert EDward Connell,Mathew Connell,
Clarence Connell,Daniel Connell,Mary E Connell,George Henry Connell,Francis J Connell, Bede Septimus Connell and Cecily Constance Connell.

Im related through Matthew Joseph Connell's brother James Joseph Connell.

Their Parents Christopher and Mary Connell had the following children Betsy Connell, Matthew Joseph Connell ( your side of the family tree),Jane M Connell,Mary Connell, Michael Connell,James Joseph Connell( this is my great great grandfather),Catherine Connell,Ellen Mary Connell,Christopher Connell, Patrick John Connell. Albert Edward Connell was born in 1869 in Richmond NSW Australia. He died on the 22 Mar 1946 in Tenterfield NSW. He married Maria Rock in 1897 in Tenterfield NSW.
Maria Rock was born in 1875 in Tenterfield, NSW, Australia.

they had the following children;

Letitia Ida E Connell born 14 Mar 1896 in Tenterfield Died on the 21 Dec 1913 in Tenterfield, NSW. Australia.

Joseph Henry Connell born 1897 in Tenterfield, Died on the 19 Jun 1976 in Cessnock NSW

Mary E Connell born 1898 in Tenterfield. Died in Toowoomba

Kathleen Florence Connell born Feb 1900 in Tenterfield, died in Wallangarra, QLD,
