Thank you Janilye and Tonkin,
I went to a lovely Rememberance Day Tour of Brighton, Victoria Cemetery on Sunday. It is so nice to see the effort put in to remembering the Soldiers who fought in all conflicts. The Brighton Cemetorians and The Friends of Cheltenham Cemeteries have had so many War Graves allotted to many returned Soldiers who rest in nameless plots. So many War Graves applications are rejected. What constitutes a War Grave? Surely if someone is willing to sacrifice their life for their Country, they are deserving of a War Grave. In the 1960's most War Graves were Decommissioned resulting in the removal of the the white marble and bluestone headstones

It appears that McSteve Cook came to Australia C.1903 aged 17? Did he come out with his father John Cook.
Two other children are named on his death cert. Charles William and Henry Thomas Cook.
Also states 25 years in Australia and 3 years overseas (likely his War Service)
Death Certificate Victoria 9425/1928
