Cost of Geneology - Certificate sharing

Journal by Dave Calladine

I have added a link from my profile to a site called Certificate Sharing - an Austrlian site for Certificates written in English.

We all know how expensive it is to purchase various BDM certificates so it makes sense to share and search for any Birth, Marriage or Death certificate and any other documents, when we do our family history research.

There are millions of people tracing their family history and purchasing certificates to confirm details about their families. This is an expensive and timely process. Certificate Sharing is too small a site to help you discover much yet, but it is a free site, thus provides a service free of charge which in time could prove to help you.

You can submit images of your certificates to this site, or transcribed details and in doing so you are allowing researchers -family history people to share your resources, by viewing your transcribed certificates. If we al used this site then we would be able to see exactly what each other had, and save each other time and money chasing previously researched lines.

If you are in my clan, I hope you will join Certificate Sharing today, and begin sharing your history. I started with a transcript of Emily Birchenoughs certificate. I am going to find the rest of them and add them to the site over the next few weeks. Other names here will get similar benifits I am sure.
