COTTON-HODGKINSON - On June 11 1874 at the residence of the bride's father, Charles Robert Thomas Cotton (son of Mr James Henry Cotton Snr), of Nelson, to Matilda, fourth daughter of Mr. G Hodgkinson of Wakefield.

COTTON-JARRETT – On 25 October 1884 at the residence of the bride, by the Rev P. Calder, George William Jarret, to Maria, eldest daughter of Mr F. Liley, Waimea Road (and widow of the late James Henry Cotton Jnr) both of Nelson.

COTTON-GARNER - On 06 December 1882, by the Rev J. Bekenham, at the residence of the bride's brother, James Garner to Emma, second daughter of James Henry Cotton (Snr), both of Nelson.

COTTON-HAWKINS – On 14 April 1903, at Collingwood, by the Rev A.H Heron, Arthur James, only son of the late James Henry Cotton (Jnr), of Nelson, to Fanny Ethel, youngest daughter of the late Peter Hawkins, of Collingwood.

COTTON-KING – On 24 June 1891, at St. David's Church, Petone, by the Rev A. Thompson, John, youngest son of Mr James Henry Cotton (Snr), Nelson, to Susan, third daughter of Mr George King, of Burnside, Petone.

COTTON-POPE - On 06 November 1884, at the residence of the bride's parents, by the Rev. J Bekenham, Harry, second son of Mr George (Whiting) Pope, to Caroline, youngest daughter of Mr James Henry Cotton (Snr). (*THIS IS THE MARRIAGE NOTICE OF MY GREAT-GREAT-GRANDPARENTS)
