You'll notice a witness at the marriage was Montgomerie, now I read something about him and Ainslie. It had something to do with Ainslie's shoe shop on the wharf and I think some theft. I'll have a look and see if I can find it again.

Hi janilye, Thank you for that. I do have most of that, its just that we cannot find how she arrived in Tasmania, the first report of her was gaining an Inn licence around 1833/4 Alexander Ainslie took over the licence when they married. Alexander and Montgomery had a dispute about the ownership of the vessel 'THE JANE' Montgomery marriesd Alexander's sister Janet. Thank you again Regard,s Mairs
