Desperately Seeking Black Sheep Grandpa of Blount TN
Alvin "Fate" Headrick of Blount Co., TN, USA 1917-1969 is my grandfather. Nobody knows the names of his parents, and I need to know in order to start on that branch of my family tree. Please help me if you can/ will. Any information would help me put things in a more positive perspective, as I would like to understand him beyond the black sheep status.

On the 1930 Census for Blount Co is: James R Headrick 54 born TN (his parents born TN), Martha E Headrick, wife, 54 born NC (her parents both born NC), Alvin L 12, Sarah A, mother of James 77, Santford Blair jnr, nephew of James, 14. There is another Alvin Headrick (who is surely related): also on 1920 Census, for Allegheny Co, PA: James R Headrick 20 and Annie M 22, James R 2 yrs 9 mths and Alvin F 3months. Also, on Family Search.org there are family trees for the ancestors of James born 1875/6. They may not be accurate. I hope this is of interest to you. Andrew Wilson
