Devaney /McAvaney Ireland 18th Century

Journal by tibchar12

I am research my 2* Grandfather and the history of the Devaney family in Ireland during the 18th century from around county Clare. The names changed when my 2* Great Grandfather was transported to Australia and received his ticket of leave. He arrived in South Australia and married Mary Fitzgerald in 1852 at the Roman Catholic Church West Terrace Adelaide, he passed away in 1875.

I have researched and found his mother Mary Devaney a single mother whom was born in 1797 and passed in 1864. She is buried in County Limerick.
