This is what I found: Thomas Sadleir Scully was born 1796 and married Eleanor cairns Wall on Jan. 25, 1830 in Kilkenny, Ireland. They had 7 children in 17 years. He died in 1856 at the age of 60 years. 1796-1856 in Harpeth Shoals, Tennessee.

William's Parents are James Darby Scully and Catherine Scully born Lyons.

William born 1778 married Anna Roe Nov. 30, 1796 at St. Andrews, Dublin, Ireland.

James Scully born Nov. 3, 1737 in Kilfeacle Co, Tipperary Ireland. Catherine born Sep 29, 1739 in Crown House Co. Limerick, Ireland.. William Passed away in 1842 @age 64, They had 3 children.

Thanks. You have the children correct although they were born in a village named Ennisnag which is in Co. Kilkenny and baptised in the parish church at Danesfort.
The marriage in Dublin in 1796 was obviously a shotgun affair between two teenagers with the Widow Roe holding the shotgun, William's father knew nothing about it until 18 months later. William was banished to England and disowned, the baby seems to have been brought up by the Sadleirs (William's sister was married to Clement Sadleir) but was never recognised by the Scully family. There is a complete blank between the birth of Thomas Sadleir Scully about 1796/7 and his marriage to Eleanor Cairns Wall in Jan. 1830,
but he was obviously well educated. Today if you visit Ennisnag you may notice a plague on the old stone bridge to the memory of Brig.General James Wall Scully who was born there.
