The friends of Mr William Cairns, of Oamaru, are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of his late brother, James, which will leave our Premises for the Northern Cemetery, this day (Monday), the 15th inst., at 2.30p.m.

... RE: JAMES CAIRNS (otherwise called JAMES LORAINE CAIRNS), deceased. Motion for appointment of Public Trustee a sole executor (Mr Woodhouse) - Accordingly

... In the matter of the Public Trust Office Acts for the time being, and in the matter of the Estate of JAMES LORAINE CAIRNS, late of Dunedin and Oamaru, in the Provincial District of Otago, miner (deceased)
Notice is hereby given that all creditors and others having claims against the above estate are required to send in to F. H. MORICE, Esq., District Agent of the Public Trustee, Dunedin, and in writing, on or before the 23rd day od December, 1898, full particulars of such claims, giving the items and amounts of the same; and the said time, or as soon thereafter as conveniently may be, distribute the assets of the said deceased, or any part thereof, among the parties entitled thereto, having regard only to the claims which the Public Trustee shall have then had notice, and according to the priorities given by the Public Trust Office Acts for the time being to such claims as between themselves respectively.
Printed forms for the purpose can be obtained from any of the agents of this office. All moneys payable to the above estate may be lodged to the credit of the Public Trustee's Account at any Postal Money Order Office, or paid to F. H. Morice, Esq., District Agent of the Public Trustee, Dunedin - JAMES C. MARTIN, Public Trustee
