I can find no b,m or d record for Donald, yet family knowledge names him as the only known sibling of Esther.

Here is my answer: The Donald Carse 16 Midlothian is not mine. He is at home with father David, 44, ironmoulder journeyman and Helen, 54, wife, at Common Close High St Dalkieth. (Source Ancestry transcript of c1851)

Of almost 2,000 relatives, Donald is one of the few mysteries outstanding. Fun, isn't it?
