Wife: Aurelia M Johnson born about 1818 Died: 25 Sept.1865 Buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Baltimore City, MD. They had 3 children Sarah Born about 1840. 1850 US Federal Census: George Dryden Head, Male, age 32 years Wife: Aurelia M Johnson - Age 32 Sarah Dryden -Dau. age 10 Laura J. Dryden and Virginia Dau. age 2 Twins. George was on the 1850 Census but he isn't on 1860 Census cause she is a widow. Ira A Dryden Born 23 Feb 1869 Died 9 Aug. 1952. He is buried here in Waco, McLennan County, Tx I might be able to get his obituary. Let me know if you want the obit.
Daughter: Louisa Jane Dryden Beauchamp Born 1848 Somerset County, MD. Wife of William H Beauchamp born about 1842 Died 1907. Louisa Jane Dryden Beauchamp had Lydia born 1869, Roscoe Franklin B.1872 He is buried in Texas. Virginia Born 1875, Mabel Louise Born 1877 Died 1879 ? Buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Baltimore City, MD * Lota Evelyn B. 1877 * William L b. 1878 Died in Philadephia County, PA Buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Baltimore City, MD. Thanks again for your help with some of my postings. What you have on the Dryden line is pretty much what I have too. What I am looking for is when George Dryden (b about 1818) died and where he is buried. I do have the names of his parents. The Ira A Dryden that you mentioned is listed in a book I have on the Dryden family by Leslie Powell Dryden. But thank you for offering to possibly being able to get his obituary. But I already have all his information from the Dryden Family book.
As for the Beauchamp family you have listed in your letter, I found one discrepancy. Roscoe Franklin Beauchamp, born 12 March 1872, is my grandfather, so I know quite a bit about him. You have that he is buried in Texas. That must be another Roscoe Franklin because my grandfather Roscoe Franklin Beauchamp died 08 August 1940 and is buried in Fernwood Cemetery in Fernwood, Pennsylvania. Fernwood is just outside of southwest Philadelphia.
Roscoe Franklin's sister, Mabel Louise Beauchamp was born about October 1877 and died 29 June 1879 and died at age 20 months.
Roscoe Franklin's sister, Lota Evelyn Beauchamp was born 12 March 1887 and died in Clearwater, Pinellas Co, Florida 12 October 1978. She was cremated and her ashes scattered in the Gulf of Mexico. She was married two or three times, including a marriage to a cousin, George R Beauchamp.
My records show that their brother, William Leonard Beauchamp, was born 05 May 1880 (though some records state he was born in 1878). He died 12 December 1965 in Arnold, Anne Arundel County, MD. He married Loretta Yeager and had 4 children.
