Edmonds Historical Records from 2nd Century Bc

edmondsallan - Hello - We started as a singular tribe ( Part of large nomad tribes ,) resume our journey west wards . However for some reason it was decided to split the tribe into two ( 2 ). The " American" part of the tribe , went northwest towards the end of the Great " Rhine River " Denmark - Norway & became " Norsemen / Vikings . The " English " went Southwest towards the border and coast of Spain & France , then over to England near Kent as " Celts " Their the Celt " English " tribe , hunted , farmed , fought and in general , some moved into working with the stone in the large deposits found their . In the meantime , over the same time period , our vikings " American " family started raiding the west coast of Lancashire ( as it is known now " ) Isle of man , North Ireland & Southern Ireland . They used " Dublin " as their winter base . Over a period of time they fought very hard and gained a foothold on the coast and inland on the coast of Northern Lancashire . Within that time frame , from the second century ( 2nd ) BC to 790 AD. , the " American " family / tribe- the name had several changes & had now become " Edmundr-Mundi " Eventually the " Lancashire " settlement our part of the original tribe became " Edmonds " They carried that name back to " Dublin - Ireland " and to America and after several start - stops arrived in " Christchurch . NZ. The " English " Family / Tribe while working in the stone Quaries Had lost their tribal name & became known for centuries as " Men of stone " Their name remained as that until - 906 AD - The king of England then was " The Elder - Edward the 1st " King Edward & his Queen ( Princess of Kent )" named their Eldest son , Born in 0923 AD -" Prince Edmond " The Magnificent " In 1280 AD this " Royal Family " had blown their gold in a big way and needed to replentish their coffers_ !!! Fast ' All the people in that area that they owned were told they had to have a name & pay annual taxes to the King .( GST had not been thought of then ) If you didn't have a name that could go in their tax collects book - they cut off the heads of your whole family . Now " Edmonds " even our very distant ancestors were no slouches at working things out . They called a meeting among themselves . Put on the " Barbie " stole one of the Kings Pigs ,added some potatoes had a big feast - and in general after washing it down with " Home brew - " Decided they would adopt the name of their Master who owned the ground they worked and lived on -- " King / Prince Edmund " That name went on to become " Edmunds / Edmun / Edmon / Edmonds . It is the Descendants of this " English Family " who arrived at Keri Keri , Bay of Islands . Their you have the story in general as it came about . I could have gone over board with finer details . We do have more on the actual dates and places . I hope this will give you all a better understanding of how the two different families from the original DNA family way way back came to be .
