have not yet found where and when they were from but their New Zealand children were:
10th April 1880 - Albert Arthur
1st Dec 1882 - Minnie
5th Feb 1884 - William Edward
29th May 1887 - Alfred Reuben
- died 18th Sep 1949 aged 62
5th Nov 1889 - Ernest
Thanks for that - confirms with more accuracy (birthdates) the information I had.
Details have changed a bit:
(I managed to get Edward James's Death Cert - b1849)
He actually married an Elizabeth Brown in NSW Australia circa 1875
And his father was George Jones - station owner - mothers name not listed.
So i'm stuckon the Aussie side of things - NSW BDM didnt start until about 1855 I'm told
