Engel Germans to Russia to America and Elsewhere

Looking for info on Stephqn Engel, CINCU, Romania born ~1840

Stephan Engel is my GGrandpa. He lived in Grosschenk (Cincu), Romania. I visited there in 1991 and talked to friends of the Engel family and viewed the Engel farmlands. The home had been replaced but I got an old photo of it. Stephan (I) b. 8 Aug 1826, [md. Anna Gottschling 24 Apr 1861] d. abt 1884 (gored by a bull). Anna b. 22 Sep 1844 in Grosschenk, d. 21 Dec 1910 in Erie, PA, of cancer. Anna's parents were Michael Gottschling d. 1869 and Anna Untch d. 1880. Stephan\Anna had children: Stephan (II), John b. 1867 ( my grandpa to USA 1887/8). There was also a Katherine who may be the daughter of either Stephan.
I have not been able to trace the Engel line any further back. There is a Johannes Engel b. 1776 in nearby Agnita that might fit. Stephan (II) had a son Stephan (III) Who came to the USA and has descendants.
