The Age, Monday 1 September 1941 Rev. James McBride Rev. James McBride, retired minister of the Methodist Church, who died yesterday morning at the age of 80 years, was born in Ballarat, and began work in the church in 1885 as an evangelist. He served in a large number of circuits, including Walhalla, Numurkah, Kyneton, Kyabram, Bendigo, South Melbourne, Albert Park, Daylesford, Eaglehawk, Geelong West, Richmond, Malvern and Alphington. His wife died some years ago, and he leaves two sons and a daughter. The funeral will take place this afternoon following a service in Glendearg-grove Methodist Church, Malvern, at 2 p.m., to be conducted by the President of the Methodist Conference, and will move to Spring Vale Crematorium. Messrs. le Pine and Son have charge of the arrangements.
