during the early 1900s it was normal practise for many people to publish their comings and goings in the local newspapers to let their friends and families know what they were up to
- really, this is just the equivalent of todays Facebook !!

Mrs CHATFIELD, who has been staying with Mrs SHARP, of Masterton, is now a guest of Mrs Holmes WARREN, Featherston
- Elizabeth BIDWELL married Holmes Warren (1862-1919) in 1890

Dr and Mrs COLLINS returned from Auckland on Saturday afternoon

Mrs Ian DUNCAN was visiting Wanganui for the races

Mrs F. M. B. FISHER, who hs been visiting Auckland and Russell, returned to Wellington yesterday morning

Nurse FLETCHER leaves Wellington tonight on a months holiday trip to Lake Wakatipu

Dr Elizabeth GUNN, who has been staying at Marton, has returned to Wellington
It was Dr Elizabeth DUNN, superintendent of the Purity Department of the W.C.T.U., not Dr Eliabeth GUNN, who left on Thursday for Gisborne to attend the annual convention of the W.C.T.U.

Lady KELBURN arrive from Auckland on Saturday, via the Main Trunk express

Miss Frank LECKIE is a guest of Mrs E. C. GAISFORD, Marton

Mr and Mrs Eric RIDDIFORD motored from Orongorongo for the races at Wanganui and returned yesterday
