David Laidlaw Gordon was born July 18 1843 in Greenlaw, his parents were Margaret Gordon and Peter Laidlaw.
They were married at Maxmill Parish of Gordon 8th October 1861 and then left Scotland to come to New Zealand.
Jane had 15 Children from 1862 to 1881. David 1862, Alexander 1864,Jane 1866, Andrew 1867, William 1868, John Pagan 1869, Charles 1870, Robert 1872, Thomas 1873, Margaret 1875, James 1876, George Christie 1877, Peter 1879, Sarah Ann 1880,Henry Watson 1881.
The children married and have familys in New Zealand.
