Your Elizabeth Fraser was born in Kirkhill, Inverness, Scotland, in 1833 and may have sailed to Australia on the "Tilan" in 1857. She married Anthony Ferguson in Sandhurst, Victoria, when she was heavily pregnant in 1858. Your Anthony was the first of their children born in Central Otago, New Zealand. His elder sister, Elizabeth, was my great-grandmother.

My Mother was Elizabeth Madeline Ferguson, born in 1910, she was the 2nd of 5 girls - her father was Anthony Ferguson, mother Florence Annie Newsome/Johnson as mentioned previously. So . . . your G/Grandmother was my Grandfather Ferguson's sister? Is that right? Didn't know he had a sister or sisters. I knew he had one brother named Alex, and perhaps another brother. Can you tell me more please - about Elizabeth Fraser (My mother spoke of her as Betsy Frazer - with a Z) Do you have any photos?
