First Entry

Though I am new to this site I have been doing genealogy research for quite some time. I am mainly researching my mother's family, the Smail family but I am also doing a bit on my fathers family, the Helton family.

While I do welcome people pointing out my errors or giving help and advice please, if all you are going to do is point out to me what others trees say don't bother. Unless there is documentation I do not consider anything a fact.

In the beginning I did like most newbies and took other peoples trees as fact. I learned the hard way not to do that. So please feel free to point me in directions I may not have seen as clues or ideas but lets save the title fact for things that have documentation.
